Intermediate slabs, and options for 1,000 / 10,000 / 1,00,000 barcodes and 2–10 year subscriptions, are in the GS1 India schedule. A revised schedule applies from 1 October 2026; figures are confirmed against it at filing. Pages quoting "₹3,000–₹22,000" or an "₹11,800 deposit" are wrong.

Apply on gs1india.org; GTINs are allotted in DataKart; allotment in 7–10 working days. Only the brand owner (or an entity it authorises) can hold the company prefix — job-workers and resellers cannot.
